The Computer Science Graduate program at the University of Toronto adheres to four main principles: Think Big, Take initiative, Be Engaged and Have Fun! We took these notions very seriously in helping furnish, configure and update the 5th floor in the Bahen Centre at 40 St. George Street. The department challenged us with the idea of a contemporary installation whereby the furniture and design would reflect their state of the art technology. PCA provided the optimal solution. We took initiative and provided a completely custom all encompassing system characterized by sleek lines, oriented in geometry and stylized with bold colours of blue, yellow and orange.

The Graduate Program had highly engaged representatives from the Computer Science department who were responsible for much of the inspiration and design of their new space.  We worked together to create lounge areas using seating that encourages collaborative space where ideas can be shared, while sufficient privacy is provided for students to study comfortably and effectively.  This contemporary open concept design helps promote the Computer Science ideology: Be engaged and Have Fun!
