Rest assured with LaResta!
Over the last few years, designers and architects in the healthcare sector have started paying closer attention to the environments in which their patients reside – sometimes, unfortunately for extended periods of time. The colour scheme and arrangement of furniture in a room can really affect the mood and even well-being of those who inhabit the space. As a response to this, manufacturers have begun to break the outdated and aesthetically drab molds of traditional healthcare furniture; they are introducing sleeker, more innovative and comfortable furniture that can even substitute as fittings for the home! KI (Krueger International), in particular, has been assertively exploring new possibilities in their healthcare lines. One of their latest and increasingly popular products is the LaResta Bed. The bed/seater/conversation piece (according to KI), is versatile in its flexible and compartment-oriented design, yet sleek and serene in its styling – “An attractive sofa by day; LaResta comfortably seats four people. By night, its intuitive design makes conversation.”
The LaResta bed is also as simple as its designers claim it to be - It requires no staff assistance in assembly or mobility. Additionally, it comes in number of choices, including a freestanding option on easy-rolling casters that can be repositioned by as little as one person. The built-in option appears as a custom sofa, created to compliment any room. Front drawers on the bed are made to look like panels, which can fit an ample array of storage items, i.e. personal items, bedding, etc. The LaResta bed also offers tailored options including textures, finishes and contrasting fabrics to create a personal touch.
