Additionally the mesh seat eliminates stress under the thighs, a key area that users overlook as a contributing factor to discomfort from seating. One of the best things about this chair is its light weight quality; the World weighs only about 25lbs (the lightest in its class). This provides the user ease of mobility and freedom. Much of the chair's lightness is attributed to the limited amount of materials used in its construction. The World is made of only 8 major components. Humanscale also took its environmental responsibility very seriously in creating this chair. The World contains 34% recycled content and ships in 85% recycled packaging.
